Fact Check
The Rumor Scanner team’s investigation reveals that the video in question does not depict an Iranian attack on a meeting of top Israeli military officials. Instead, the circulated footage was created by editing and combining segments from two separate videos.
During the investigation, two posts (1, 2) broadcast on March 04 were found on the Facebook page of the Israeli media outlet i24 News. Both parts of the video circulated with the discussed claim match the two videos (1, 2) attached to the said two posts.
According to the captions, the first scene shows several officials from the Home Front Command of Israel’s Dan District having dinner, while the second scene depicts an Iranian missile striking next to a residential building in the city of Be’er Sheva on March 3.
That is, the video being circulated with the discussed claim contains scenes of two separate incidents.
Therefore, the video circulated claiming to be scenes of Iran’s missile attack on a meeting of top Israeli officials is edited.
