Fact Check: Bud light recently released a new advertisement featuring Football stars Peyton Manning and Emmitt Smith, according to The Daily Mail. This new ad comes after sales of the beer dropped 30% after their controversial partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney, The Twitter post claims that Country singer George Strait shared a negative opinion of singer Garth Brooks. The post shared this information in text format with an alleged quote from Strait. The caption reads, “Country legend George Strait let loose and finally weighed in on what he thinks of Garth Brooks. ‘He’s not one of us. Hell, he’s worse. He’s one of them.’” The claim is inaccurate. No such claim from Strait can be found on any of his verified social media accounts. (RELATED: Video Of Pakistani Air Force Is Old) The claim stems from the satirical website, America’s Last Line of Defense, which is connected to the Dunning-Kruger Times. The website’s “about section“ self identifies as parody. The disclaimer reads, “Dunning-Kruger-Times.com is a subsidiary of the ‘America’s Last Line of Defense’ network of parody, satire, and tomfoolery.” The claims stem from several months ago when Brooks received backlash for stating that he would be serving Bud Light at his Nashville bar in the wake of Bud Light’s controversy regarding Mulvaney, USA Today reported.
