| - Fact Check: Video of people ecstatic over 'Trump Guilty' newsflash at bar is a meme - not actual celebration
The viral video used a meme template that goes by the name of "Happiness comes from the simple things" to create a reaction meme of people going euphoric while witnessing Trump ruling live on a big screen.

A 2016 video of fans celebrating during a football match was digitally altered to add a newsflash reading "Trump Guilty".
A jury on May 9 found former US President Donald J Trump liable for sexually abusing and defaming journalist, author, and advice columnist E Jean Carroll and awarded her $5 million in damages. In the civil case, the federal jury found that Carroll had sufficiently proved that Trump sexually abused her in a New York department store in 1996.
Following this, a video of people celebrating the verdict was widely shared online. As per the video and its accompanying claim, people at a bar erupted in joy as news of the verdict flashed on a large TV
A Twitter user while sharing the viral video wrote, “Meanwhile, down at the bar,” alongside hashtags like “Trump is Guilty” and “Trump Is A Rapist”. The archived version of this tweet can be seen here.
India Today, however, found that this video is from 2016 and shows football fans celebrating. The Trump newsflash was digitally added to it.
Our Probe
We performed a reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video and came across several posts containing the same clip of the full bar erupting in celebration. However, in each clip, the scene playing on the TV was different. In fact, in one of the videos, “Avengers: Endgame” appeared to play on the TV.
This made it clear that this video was a popular meme template. Subsequent searches led us to the entry for the “Happiness Comes From The Simple Things” meme on the KnowYourMeme website. According to it, the original video was first shared on June 16, 2016, by the YouTube channel Heart News West Country. It reportedly showed fans celebrating the English national team scoring against Wales in the 2016 Euro tournament.
We also found another video of the same scene shot from a different angle shared on June 17, 2016, on the YouTube channel of Bristol Sport. The video was titled "Ashton Gate Erupts For Euro 2016 England Game," and its description said, "Thousands of football fans filled Ashton Gate Stadium on Thursday afternoon for the England v Wales game."
The CBS Sports and Bristol City Football Club websites also shared the viral video in their reports on June 16, 2016. The reports described the event as fans at the Sports Bar & Grill at Ashton Gate watching a live broadcast of the “England vs Wales” match during the Euro 2016 tournament.
Thus, it’s clear that the viral video is a meme.
