Vishvas News fact-checked the viral post and found it to be fake. Shreyas Talpade has confirmed that he is safe and well.

On August 19, 2024, Facebook user Ryu Kabasake shared a photo of Shreyas Talpade, with the caption ‘Om Shanti’.
Investigation
We started our investigation by conducting a keyword search and found multiple reports on Shreyas Talpade’s health across various media platforms. According to a report by Dainik Jagran dated August 20, 2024, Shreyas addressed the false rumours of his death. In a detailed post, he clarified that he is alive and refuted the news of his death. The actor expressed his disappointment over the misinformation, emphasising that while humour has its place, its misuse can be harmful. He mentioned that what began as a joke is now causing unnecessary stress and anxiety for his family.
In our investigation, we also found a tweet from Shreyas Talpade dated August 20, 2024, where he confirmed that he is alive and expressed his disappointment over the spread of fake news.
Smita Srivastava, a senior entertainment journalist from Dainik Jagran, Mumbai, confirmed that the news is misleading and Shreyas Talpade is in good health. She clarified that Shreyas experienced a heart attack during the shooting of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and he was subsequently hospitalised, he has since recovered and is doing well.
The viral claim was shared by a Facebook user named Ryu Kabasake., who has over 3000 followers.
