The viral claim turned out to be misleading in the investigation of Vishvas News. The viral video is not recent, but almost two years old. This waterfall is in the Kadam Kandi area of Jodhpur. Claim : Facebook user Ritam Digital shared this video and wrote, “The tricolour waterfall became the centre of attraction before Independence Day.” #HarGharTiranga #azadikaamritmahotsav2022 #Waterfall Investigation: We extracted several grabs of the video and searched them through Google reverse image. We found a media report related to this on Dainik Bhaskar website. It was published on 16 August 2020. According to the information given in the report, the viral video is from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Read other news reports here. Taking the investigation further, we started searching with related keywords. We found a video report related to the viral claim on the official YouTube channel of ABP. The video was uploaded on 16 August 2020. Here too, the same information was given about the video that the viral video is from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. For more information, we contacted Ranjan Dave, a senior journalist from Jodhpur. He told us that the viral claim is false. This video is almost two years old. This is from the delightful place of Khandi. It is on the Daijar road, about 20 to 25 km from Jodhpur. About two years ago, two youths mixed colors in the waterfall and gave it a tricolor-like appearance. The user Jitendra Kumar (Pandit) who shared the viral post with a false claim is followed by six people on Facebook. The user has 5 thousand friends on Facebook.
