This video is nearly six years old and not related to ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. It shows the public reacting to ‘Dangal’, which was released in 2016.
Even before its release, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer 'Laal Singh Chaddha', a remake of the Hollywood Oscar-winner 'Forrest Gump', was at the centre of controversy. Many pledged on social media to boycott the film and encouraged others to do so. And now, even after its release, the controversies continue, with myriad allegations of the film being disrespectful to the Indian Army, the Sikh community, and others.
Amid all of this, however, many on Twitter have shared a video, claiming it to be the audience's positive reaction to the film.

The video allegedly shows vox pop interviews of audience members after a special screening of 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. People in the video appeared to be all praise for the film and Khan’s acting.
The same video was shared on Facebook as well. Archived versions of some similar posts can be seen here and here.
AFWA's investigation has found this video is nearly six years old. It shows the audience's reaction to 'Dangal', another movie led by Aamir Khan that was released in 2016.

In the video, not a single viewer mentioned “Laal Singh Chaddha” by its name. This made us doubt the authenticity of the claim. We noticed the logo for 'movie talkies.com' was visible in the video. So, we searched for the official YouTube channel of this website.
There, we came across the first public review of “Laal Singh Chaddha”, uploaded to the YouTube channel on August 11. In this video, the audience’s reaction was lukewarm — as opposed to the viral video where the reactions were overwhelmingly positive. While it received praise from some, others stated it was a "waste of money."
More importantly, however, the people speaking in the viral video were not in this one. We also noticed the new logo of the channel was different from the logo seen in the viral video.
Subsequent searches on the channel took us to a video that was uploaded on December 23, 2016. It showed people reacting to Aamir Khan’s “Dangal”, a film that smashed box office records. Reportedly, “Dangal” earned a whopping collection of Rs. 2,024 crore worldwide, and remains one of the highest-grossing Indian movies.
When we compared this video with the viral one, it became clear that the viral video was cut from this footage. Any mention of the film’s name, “Dangal”, was removed from the video to give it a false spin.
“Laal Singh Chaddha” has received mixed reviews from critics. And its box office collections have not lived up to expectations. It has managed to collect Rs. 18.96 crore in its first two days.

Therefore, we concluded that the viral video does not show the audience's reaction to “Laal Singh Chaddha”.
