A fact check by Newschecker has found the claim to be partly false. The video shows prominent people including the Prime Minister and the Vice president in the audience as Hans Raj Hans sings. Instead of the lines ‘Ishwar Allah Tero Naam’, the singer is heard repeating ‘Jai Shri Ram’ four times. The video, shared by @SheetalPronamo on Twitter, has received over 2,700 retweets and over 9,000 likes on Twitter at the time of publishing. Similar posts were made in both Facebook and Twitter by other users too. Fact check/Verification A keyword search on YouTube throws up the video ‘Hans Raj Hans Live on the Occasion of 152nd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi || Raghupati’. Published on October 4, 2021, the video is almost 6 minutes long. 2 minutes 38 seconds into the video, the singer is heard singing the lines ‘Ishwar Allah Tero Naam, Sabko Sanmati De bhagwan’ keeping in line with the lyrics altered by Mahatma Gandhi. Conclusion The full version of the bhajan sung by Hans Raj Hans on the occasion of the 152nd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi has the lines ‘Ishwar Allah Tero Naam’, proving that the viral video shared on social media websites was taken out of context, and hence partly false.
