  • A set of two videos is being shared to claim that it shows a Pakistani fielder's trousers slipping down while he was trying to stop former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli's winning shot. The claim comes after India defeated Pakistan in the ongoing 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. What are the facts?: Both the videos are unrelated to each other. The first video is from 23 February and shows the winning shot by Kohli during the ongoing tournament. The second one showed Pakistani bowler Jahandad Khan from a T20 match between Australia and Pakistan in November 2024. Hints in the viral video: Team WebQoof took a closer look at the viral compilation and found that both of them showed jerseys of two different colours. While the first clip showed a light-green jersey, the second video showed a darker one. The other discrepancy we found is that the fielder was already seen diving, when Kohli stepped out of the crease to play the shot. Details on Kohli's winning shot: We looked for the winning shot of Kohli during the recent India vs Pakistan match and found the visuals available on the official X handle of Star Sports. It was posted on 23 February. The video did not show any Pakistani fielder trying to stop the ball. What about the second video?: On conducting a keyword search with the words "pakistani player pants slide embarrassing moment", we came across a report published in Times of India on 19 November 2024. It mentioned that Pakistani bowler Jahandad Khan, who was making his debut in the match, experienced a wardrobe malfunction while chasing down a boundary. The incident happened during the third T20 match between Pakistan and Australia. The report carried similar visuals, which were uploaded on an X handle called 'cricket.com.au'. Conclusion: It is evident that the videos are unrelated and are being shared with a false claim. (Not convinced of a post or information you came across online and want it verified?
