| - On Dec. 4, 2024, UnitedHealthcare confirmed that the company's CEO, Brian Thompson, was shot and killed in Manhattan, New York City.
Two days later, on Dec. 6, a video (archived) started circulating, captioned: "NYC coming together to dance in the streets over the universal American love of CEOS". The video shows people dancing on East 11th Street in Manhattan while singing Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten".
However, while the video itself is authentic, the description is inaccurate. Our research found that the original video (archived) was actually recorded on Nov. 20 by Instagram user Rachael Burke, following a Natasha Bedingfield concert (archived) at nearby Webster Hall. Therefore, Snopes rates this video miscaptioned.
Video Shows Post-Concert Street Party
The video was recorded on the corner of East 11th Street and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan, New York, as seen on Google Maps.
