In it, PM Modi can be heard praising Christianity. The video also shows PM Modi saying that only Jesus Christ can take people to heaven. Many users are sharing and commenting on the video, believing it to be true. Vishvas News investigated and found the claim to be fake. The viral video was created using AI. What is going viral? Facebook user ‘Khaju Damor‘ posted this video of PM Modi on his account on January 29, 2026. View the archived version of the post here. Investigation Vishvas News began its investigation by scanning the viral video of PM Modi. Closer analysis revealed unnatural facial expressions and hand movements, common “tells” in deepfake technology. Continuing our investigation, we checked the video using AI detection tools. Hive Moderation’s analysis confirmed that the video was AI-created. Hive’s analysis indicated a 99% chance of the video being AI-created. Deepfake-O-Meter (University of Buffalo) confirmed a probability higher than 99% for AI manipulation. Similarly, another AI detection tool, AI or Not, also indicated the likelihood of the viral video being AI-created. We used another detection tool to confirm this finding. Undetectable.ai’s analysis also confirmed a high probability of this video being AI-created. Vishvas News further contacted AI expert S.K. Shahid. He stated that the viral video was created using an AI tool. At the end of the investigation, we scanned the profile of the user who posted the fake video. He is followed by approximately 10,000 people and has over 4,000 Facebook friends. Conclusion: Vishvas News investigated and determined the viral video to be fake. There is no record of PM Modi making these statements, and technical analysis confirms the video was created using generative AI tools.
