By: Ashish Maharishi - Published: Feb 6, 2025 at 01:24 PM - New Delhi (Vishvas News) Many people lost their lives in the recent stampede at the Maha Kumbh. Following this, many fake videos and pictures began circulating on social media to spread misinformation. Vishvas News investigated the viral post and found it to be fake. The viral clip is a small part of an awareness video. Our investigation revealed that this video was made to spread awareness about the clothes of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev. It has nothing to do with the stampede. What is going viral? After searching several keyframes, we found the original video on an Instagram handle, ‘bablu_birasat’, uploaded on January 23, 2025. The video stated that it was made as part of the awareness program in Maha Kumbh to spread awareness about the sacrifice of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev. In the video, a person can be heard mentioning the name of his YouTube channel. In the video, a person can be heard saying that these people have come to Maha Kumbh to educate the youth about the sacrifices of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev. They conveyed the message of sacrifice through a padyatra (foot march) in Maha Kumbh. Additionally, Vishvas News contacted Rakesh Pandey, editorial in-charge of Dainik Jagran, Prayagraj, who confirmed that the claim made in the viral post is fake. At the end of the investigation, we did a social scanning of a Facebook user ‘Rohit Maurya Vlog’ and found that this user lives in Navi Mumbai and has over 5000 followers.
