Vishvas News investigated this claim and found it to be false. The viral image is generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. What’s Going Viral? Facebook user ‘Zoroastrian Heritage’ shared this picture on Feb 6, 2025, with the caption, “Bus Stop Shelter in Iran.” Investigation: To investigate the viral picture, we analysed the image closely. There were a few discrepancies like the face and body of the woman sitting at the far end seemed deformed. Similarly, one leg of the woman sitting in front seemed missing. These inconsistencies raised suspicions that the image may have been made using AI. To verify further, we decided to analyse the image using the AI image detection tools. Hive Moderation, indicated a 92% probability of the picture being AI-generated. SightEngine indicated a 99% probability of the image being AI-generated. Upon performing a Google reverse image search, we found the original picture on the Instagram account of ‘@pooriyazamani’, posted on December 31, 2024, with the caption “The city’s respect for its citizens ‘Isfahan V’ – work by @pooriyazamani, Generated with #AI.” We contacted AI expert and researcher Azahar Machwe, who confirmed that these pictures were AI-created. Finally, we scanned the Facebook page ‘Zoroastrian Heritage’, which shared the viral post and discovered that it has over 15000 followers.
