The video has also been shared here, here, and here with a similar claim. Digiteye India received a WhatsApp request to fact check the claims made in the viral social media posts.
FACT CHECK
The Digiteye India team conducted a keyword search on Google to look for the original video. One result led us to this press release by the Press Information Bureau. The press release, dated September 10 2023, revealed that the leaders of G20 nations had visited Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had shared images from this event on his Twitter handle. He wrote, “At the iconic Rajghat, the G20 family paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi – the beacon of peace, service, compassion and non-violence. As diverse nations converge, Gandhi Ji’s timeless ideals guide our collective vision for a harmonious, inclusive and prosperous global future.”

This detailed information helped us narrow down our search for the original video. We looked for videos from September 2023. We checked YouTube and found this video posted by the Bharatiya Janata Party on September 10, 2023. The video was streamed live from Rajghat and is available on their YouTube channel. The title of the video reads, “World leaders visit Rajghat, pay tributes to Mahatma Gandhi.”
At the 1:38:01 mark, the Raghupati Raghav bhajan starts playing at Rajghat. The line ‘Ishwar Allah tero naam, sabko sanmati de bhagwaan’ can be heard at the 1:39:11 mark.
Hence, the video in the social media post has been doctored.
CLAIM: Raghupati Raghav bhajan played at Rajghat during the G20 summit omitted the word ‘Allah.’
CONCLUSION: The original video has the line where ‘Allah’ has been used. The audio has been edited.
