An image of a lady carrying a placard is being shared on social media, especially on WhatsApp. The woman in the image is identified as Keerthana, the Jana Sena party official spokesperson.
An image of a lady carrying a placard is being shared on social media, especially on WhatsApp. The woman in the image is identified as Keerthana, the Jana Sena party official spokesperson. The slogan on the placard goes as “ప్రతి కాలేజ్ లో కండోం ప్యాకెట్లు నిల్వ ఉంచాలి #JSP for students”. When translated, it means: “Every college should maintain stock of condom packets.”
This image is being shared with a caption in Telugu: “ఇలాంటి పోస్టర్ లు పట్టుకుని తిరగడానికి సిగ్గు ఉండాలి జనసేన వాళ్లకి. బహుశా వాళ్ళ ఎన్నికల గుర్తు ఇదే రావచ్చు అనుకుంటా అందుకే ప్రచారం అనుకుంటా”. When translated, it means: “Jana Sena activists should be ashamed to go around holding such posters. Maybe this is their party election symbol, that is why they think of campaigning with it.”

Fact Check:
The claim is false. An old image of a Jana Sena leader holding a placard has been morphed and shared with a degrading slogan.
When we searched the image using Google reverse image search, we found a few social media posts which shared the original images of the leader which were posted in January 2022.
Twitter account @PnHarini shared the same images that were shared in January 2022, when the state government opened the schools. The Jana Sena leader protested the opening of schools, and used the hashtag #JSP for students. The slogan on the placard held by the Jana Sena leader states “విద్యార్ధులకు వెంటనే సెలవులు ప్రకటించాలి #JSP for students”. In English, it states that holidays should be declared for schools immediately.
The tweet is a collage of various images shared in 2022. The images are shared with the caption: “కరోనా సమయంలో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వము స్కూలు ఓపెన్ చేసి చిన్నపిల్లల ప్రాణాలతో చలగాటం ఆడుతుంటే విద్యార్థులకు వెంటనే సెలవులు ప్రకటించాలని కోరిన @Keerthana_JSP గారు వైసిపి కార్యకర్తలు ఆ ఫోటోలు తీసుకువచ్చి ఫేక్ ప్రచారం చేస్తున్నారు. దీని మీద వెంటనే చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని కోరుతూ @APPOLICE100”
In English, it reads: “During Corona period, the state government opens schools putting the life of children at stake. While JSP Keerthana is holding a placard requesting the government to immediately close the schools, YCP workers are sharing the image with a morphed picture. Strict action should be taken by the AP Police”

Jana Sena leader Keerthana shared the old video posted by herself in 2022 with the caption “Jan23, 2022 jspforstudents digital campaign చదువుకొని సస్తే అర్థమవుతుంది. కోవిడ్ టైంలో పాజిటివ్ రేట్ ఎక్కువ ఉందని, పిల్లలకు ఆన్లైన్లో క్లాసెస్ నడపండి అని చేసిన డిజిటల్ క్యాంపెయిన్ ఫోటోలను ఇప్పుడు వైరల్ చేసుకుంటున్నారు సిగ్గులేని పేటియం కార్యకర్తలు.”
When translated to English, it states that “the images were part of Jana Sena’s digital campaign in January 2022 #jspforstudents. As the COVID rate was high in 2022, the JSP demanded that online classes should be held for schoolchildren and schools should be closed for the safety of students. But the shameless PayTM batch is making this image viral for wrong reasons”
Therefore, an old image of Jana Sena leader is morphed and shared with degrading comments. The image has been created by miscreants purposefully with the intention of defaming the woman politician. The claim is false.
