  • FACT CHECK: Did Hillary Clinton Say She’ll Leave The US If Elon Musk Releases Epstein’s Client List? A post shared on X claims Hillary Clinton purportedly said she would leave the U.S. if Elon Musk releases Jeffrey Epstein’s client list. 🚨BREAKING: Hillary Clinton says she will leave the United States if Elon Musk releases the Epstein Client List. What’s your reaction? pic.twitter.com/yXU4rDJWIi — TrumpGirl (@TrumpGirl44) November 27, 2024 Verdict: False The claim is not referenced on Clinton’s website or her verified social media accounts, and there is no other evidence to support the claim. Fact Check: Clinton’s husband, former Democratic President Bill Clinton, said he “couldn’t sleep for two years” after Hillary lost the 2016 presidential election in his new memoir, according to the New York Post. The former president also commented on his relationship with Epstein, saying he “wish[ed] [he] never met him,” the outlet reported. The X post claims Clinton purportedly said she would leave the U.S. if Musk releases Epstein’s client list. “BREAKING: Hillary Clinton says she will leave the United States if Elon Musk releases the Epstein Client List. What’s your reaction?” the post reads. The post, which does not provide a source to support its claim, features side-by-side photos of Clinton and Musk. The claim is false. Check Your Fact did not find the claim referenced on Clinton’s website or her verified social media accounts. Musk does not appear to have publicly commented on the claim, either. Likewise, Check Your Fact found no credible news reports to support the claim. If Clinton actually had made the remark, multiple media outlets would’ve covered it, yet none have. In fact, the opposite is true. On Dec. 2, Lead Stories debunked the claim. The claim may be circulating online in relation to Kash Patel being named as President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Patel has previously called for Epstein and rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs’ client lists to be released, which has garnered support from Musk, according to Newsweek.
