  • Il 9 settembre 2021 su Facebook è stato pubblicato un post che riporterebbe una presunta dichiarazione dell’attore statunitense Denzel Washington. Avrebbe dichiarato: «Le élite democratiche mi hanno ricattato più volte perché volevo alzarmi in piedi e dichiararmi un patriota che rispetta il presidente Trump e ama il nostro bel Paese. Dissero che avrei perso la mia carriera e sarei stato criticato da Hollywood. Lo accetto. Preferirei essere un uomo libero che schiavo dell’epica propaganda diffusa dai media. Solo la verità può renderci liberi». Si tratta di una notizia falsa che non trova riscontro in nessuna testata e in nessun comunicato ufficiale dell’attore. Contattato dai colleghi di Reuters, Alan Nierob – portavoce di Denzel Washington – ha confermato che l’attore non ha mai pronunciato una simile frase.
