| - The claim that Lizzo and Lana Del Rey were feuding erupted on social media in mid-November 2024, primarily on X, where several accounts amplified alleged antagonistic interactions between the two singers in the comments section of a video Del Rey posted on TikTok.
"Lana Del Rey dropped a nuke on Lizzo on Tik Tok," one X user posted on Nov. 13.

The rumors appeared to stem from the X account @DropPopNet, a parody page that frequently posts fictional and sensationalist pop culture news and gossip. In a Nov. 13 post that is no longer visible on the platform, the account shared a screenshot of an alleged interaction between the singers.
A second post (archived) by @DropPopNet the following day, which had received 9.2 million views as of this writing, included the same purported screenshot. In the alleged exchange, Lizzo wrote to Del Rey that she'd "like to see you back on the charts," to which Del Rey responded with a comment about Lizzo's weight: "I would love to see you run a treadmill." Lizzo then apparently clapped back, "I hope that alligator eats your big ***," a likely reference to Del Rey's new husband, alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene. Del Rey appeared to take the last stab, allegedly responding, "You'd know about eating biggie."

We reached out to Del Rey and Lizzo for comment about this alleged social media feud, and will update this article if they respond.
The posts were shared and discussed widely, leading commenters to react to the alleged drama. "I can't tell if this is just them being funny back-and-forth or if they're actually angry with each other," one wrote, to which another X user responded, "Lana vs Lizzo feels like a Netflix drama we didn't ask for but can't stop watching."
However, neither artist posted any real messages of this nature, and no credible evidence ever emerged to support the supposed exchange.
The X account that originally posted the purported screenshot has no direct connection to either singer and did not provide any concrete evidence of a real confrontation between the two. Moreover, the satirical page describes itself thusly:
Parody account, everything posted on the account is satirical and for humorous purposes, our posts are not meant to be taken seriously.
Because the rumor shared by social media users began with a post from an account that calls itself satirical, we have rated this claim as originated as satire.
Snopes has debunked other rumors that originated as satire, including the claim that rock band U2 and singer Bob Geldof announced a multi-stadium tour to aid the Israeli Defense Forces, and Disney's announcement women can now go topless at Disney World.
For background, here is why we alert readers to rumors created by sources that call their output humorous or satirical.
