The Claim
An Instagram post claims that there is no emergence of a new COVID variant. It further claims that there are no new variants of COVID-19. In fact, it never experienced widespread transmission to begin with. COVID-19 is, in essence, a collection of symptoms attributed to SARS-CoV-2.
The statement also claims that there exists no scientific proof for the claim that SARS-CoV-2 is responsible for any form of illness, and the existence of SARS-CoV-2 itself. COVID-19, both in the past and the present is not real.

Is it true that COVID-19 is not real?
No. The claim made in the Instagram post is not accurate and is not supported by scientific evidence. COVID-19 is indeed real and has not disappeared. There is substantial scientific evidence to confirm its existence and its impact on public health worldwide.
