The Covid-19 pandemic has rolled back years of progress towards equality between men and women, according a report Wednesday showing the crisis had added decades to the trajectory towards achieving gender parity. In its annual Global Gender Gap Report, the World Economic Forum found that instead of being on track to achieve gender parity across a range of areas within 99.5 years, as was the case at the start of 2020, the world was now only set to close the gap in 135.6 years. "Another generation of women will have to wait for gender parity," the WEF said in a statement. nl/rjm/dl
