The men and women's alpine skiing World Cup parallel events in the Austrian resort of Lech, scheduled for November 13-14, have been postponed because of a lack of snow, the international ski federation (FIS) said on Wednesday. FIS said the two events, the sole individual parallel races outside of the world championships, had been pushed back by two weeks to November 26-27. The World Cup season opened on the glacier above Soelden, Austria, in mid-October. The reshuffling of the parallels means the Finnish resort of Levi is now the next venue on the circuit, hosting men and women's giant slaloms on November 21-22. rg/lp/iwd
