schema:articleBody	The International Ski Federation (FIS) announced Thursday that all remaining World Cups in Norway were cancelled due to new Covid-19 government restrictions. FIS said that the Norwegian Ski Association "will be unable to host any further competitions through the end of current World Cup season due to the stricter travel and event-related restrictions". Norway has a mandatory 10-day isolation period on arrival to the country. As a result, FIS announced the cancellation of the March 12-14 Cross Country World Cup as well as the March 19-21 World Cup finals. Also shelved are the March 12-21 Ski Jumping Tournament, the March 11-14 Nordic Combined World Cup and the March 4-7 alpine skiing World Cup in Kvitfjell. "I had hoped that we would have been able to hold the World Cup events in March as planned," said Norway's Culture Minister in charge of sport Abid Raja. "The decision makers in the sport have, however, stated they needed a clarification and the Covid-19 situation means that today it's not recommended to introduce exceptions to quarantine rules for these events."
