A civil rights leader at Tuesday's funeral for George Floyd, whose death in custody sparked worldwide protests, accused US President Donald Trump of "wickedness" by signalling to police that they were above the law. Reverend Al Sharpton said that by Trump trying to stop the demonstrations rather than the police brutality that led to them, "the signals that we're sending is that if you are in law enforcement, that the law doesn't apply to you." Sharpton repeatedly used the phrase "wickedness in high places" as he described several of the president's various actions after Floyd's killing, including his use of rubber bullets and other force to clear peaceful protesters from the area in front of the White House. mlm/ft
