The post further claims that the video is from Delhi. Vishvas News investigated and found the viral post to be fake. In July, two sadhus were thrashed by a mob in a village in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district on suspicion of being child-lifters. The video is falsely viral as from Delhi. Claim User Md Manzar Aimim uploaded a video on Facebook page AIMIM Chief Naqib-e-Millat barrister Asaduddin Owaisi on August 4 and wrote: “These are child-lifters. If you see anyone, complain immediately.” It can be seen in the video that the mob is thrashing some sadhus. Apart from this, the text in the video read: ‘Caught in Delhi today.’ The archived version of the post can be viewed by clicking here. Investigation Vishvas News used the InVID tool to extract the screengrabs of the video. By searching the screengrabs using the Google reverse image tool we found a news report on a YouTube channel named Madhya Pradesh. In this video uploaded on July 22nd, it was told that the sadhus in the car were thrashed by the mob after they mistook them as child lifters as they asked for directions from some kids playing on the roadside. The kids got scared by the sadhus and ran away. In this case of assault, the police also registered a case against 15 people. We also found a news report that covered the same incident. After which the surrounding people thrashed these sadhus on suspicion of child lifter. Read the full news here. Vishvas News contacted Prem Vijay Patil, Bureau Chief of Naiduniya, Dhar. He said that the viral video is from July 2021. In Pithampur area of Dhar district, two sadhus were thrashed by people on suspicion of being child-lifters. The video is from the same incident. We scanned the profile of the Facebook user Md Manzar Aimim who shared the viral post. We found that the user has more than 5000 followers. Conclusion: Vishvas News investigated and found the viral post to be fake.
